Where can I purchase NutriPals drinks?

PediaSure® NutriPals drinks are available in most grocery stores, drug stores and mass-merchandisers (such as Wal-Mart, Target and Kmart). NutriPals drinks will be in the Baby or Toddler aisle. Our store locator can help you locate major retailers near you that carry PediaSure NutriPals products...NutriPals drinks are also available at the Abbott Nutrition store which offers a large selection of high-quality nutritional products--and delivers them right to your door.

Can a child under 1 yr. of age use NutriPals drinks?

PediaSure NutriPals drinks are not intended for infants under 1 year of age. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, infants under a year old should be breastfed or fed an iron-fortified infant formula.

Do NutriPals drinks contain milk?

Yes, NutriPals drinks contain milk proteins, such as milk protein concentrate or whey protein concentrate. These proteins are derived from cow milk.

Do NutriPals drinks contain peanuts or tree nuts? Are they manufactured on the same line as other products containing peanuts or tree nuts?

There are no peanuts or nut derivatives in PediaSure NutriPals drinks. There are no peanuts or tree nuts in the manufacturing plants (or on the lines) where PediaSure NutriPals drinks are manufactured.

Do NutriPals drinks contain gluten?

PediaSure NutriPals drinks do not contain gluten.

Are NutriPals drinks kosher?

Can you drink NutriPals drinks directly from the bottle?

Yes, they come ready to use and require no preparation. Best when chilled; shake well and enjoy.

Can I put NutriPals drinks in the refrigerator for later use?

Yes. Follow the instructions on the label: "After opening, reclose, refrigerate and use within 48 hours."

Can NutriPals drinks be frozen?

We do not recommend freezing and then thawing these products. If the product is frozen and then thawed, it may change the physical appearance, making it look unacceptable.

Can NutriPals drinks be warmed before drinking to enjoy like a hot chocolate? Can I use the microwave?

Each of these products can be heated so that it is warm, but not so hot as to burn the mouth. The temperature of the product should be checked before offering it to your child. (Although it is not necessary to check the temperature with a thermometer, if one is used the temperature should be in the range of 100-110 degrees Fahrenheit.) If a microwave is used to warm the product, please pour it into a microwave safe container prior to heating.

How should NutriPals drinks be used?

NutriPals drinks are intended for use as part of a healthy and appropriate diet for children. Depending on the age of the child, one or two servings per day offer a great way to provide additional protein, vitamins and minerals to the child's diet.

What are the age guidelines for NutriPals drinks?

Children greater than 1 year of age can enjoy the great taste of NutriPals drinks.

How much lactose is in NutriPals drinks?

The NutriPals label says: "Lactose free," however drinks do contain trace amounts of lactose. This small quantity of lactose should not cause a problem for children known to have digestive problems related to the ingestion of lactose. However, the milk protein source brings in a trace amount of galactose that is unacceptable for children with galactosemia.

Are NutriPals drinks available through the WIC* program?

No, NutriPals drinks are not available through the WIC program.
